A selection committee evaluates films based on:

• Artistic merit
• Environmental relevance
• Storytelling strength

Selected films are screened digitally at various venues, including the Solar Cinema Van, public squares, natural landscapes, and other community spaces. Final screening details and technical specifications will be provided upon acceptance.

By submitting your film, you agree to:

• Provide at least 100 free online views for audiences located in Greece and Cyprus.

Your film will remain online until it reaches your provided number of views (each view must cover at least 80% of the film duration). Note that views by festival staff, jurt members or broadcasters do not count. This requirement is mandatory to ensure access for viewers who cannot attend in person.

To protect your film and ensure a secure viewing experience, we have implemented the following online security measures:

• Geoblocking:
  The film is accessible only to viewers in Greece and Cyprus.
• Secure Access:
  Viewers must register for a free account on our website and verify their email address to access the film. This process acts as a password-protection mechanism to maintain the integrity of the viewing experience.

These measures are in place to guarantee that your film is viewed under controlled conditions and to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with our festival policies.

EcoFrames celebrates films with compelling narratives that transport audiences to new worlds and challenge our perspectives. Award categories include:

• Best Feature Fiction
• Best Short Fiction
• Best Feature Documentary
• Best Short Documentary

In addition, the festival offers special mentions for educational films and films created for kids, recognizing outstanding work that educates and inspires diverse audiences.

You retain all rights to your film. However, by submitting your film, you grant EcoFrames non-exclusive rights to use excerpts (up to 3 minutes), stills, titles, and other submitted materials for promotional purposes across various media platforms.

By submitting your film, you agree to indemnify EcoFrames and its affiliates against any claims related to your submission. It is your responsibility to secure all necessary rights and clearances (including for music, stock footage, images, and talent). Films that fail to comply with these requirements may be disqualified without a refund.

While EcoFrames does not cover screening fees or offer travel and accommodation expenses, if the festival secures opportunities to collect screening fees, 75% of the after-tax earnings will be paid to the filmmaker. Note that no financial awards or bonuses are guaranteed at this time.

In the event of a cancellation, any entry fees collected via the submission platforms will be refunded within 3 months.

The submission terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Kalamata.
